The psychological and social support team at the Al-Zawaya Educational Tent, part of the Oasis of Peace of Mind program, conducted a guidance session titled “Building Independence and Responsibility,” With the aim of developing children’s skills in making sound decisions and fostering their sense of responsibility and self-reliance in various aspects of their daily lives.
The lesson focused on introducing the children to the concept of independence and the importance of taking responsibility for themselves, their families, and their community, He also discussed the fundamentals of making sound decisions by considering the consequences and selecting appropriate alternatives before taking action.


The activities included a series of interactive scenarios and group exercises that gave the children the opportunity to discuss different options and make appropriate decisions, In addition to guiding them toward positive and desirable behaviors that foster respect, cooperation, and discipline both within and outside the educational environment.
The children actively participated in the discussions and hands-on activities, Expressing their opinions and daily experiences, This helped develop critical thinking and decision-making skills, build self-confidence, and enhance the ability to face challenges in a positive way.


The counselors emphasized that such lessons help prepare children to be better able to take on responsibility and make informed decisions, In a way that supports their psychological and social development and enhances their ability to adapt to their surroundings.
These activities are carried out as part of the “Oasis of Peace” program, which provides psychological and educational support to children in the Gaza Strip, With the generous support of the Amal Endowment for Education.
