In Wahet Almotmaenin, with a special focus on children and youth, our methodology aims to identify common psychological and behavioral issues and provide effective, evidence-based interventions.
We focus on identifying and addressing the most common psychological and behavioral issues among those affected by crises, which include:

Intervention Pathways
To ensure the provision of appropriate psychological support for each group, we rely on three main intervention pathways:
Pathway One
Pathway One: All Students
Goal: Promote mental health and prevent psychological issues for all students.
Methods:

Weekly Sessions: Providing weekly sessions integrated into the curriculum to promote mental health and reduce the negative psychological effects resulting from crises (such as war and loss)1

Skill Development: Training students in coping skills, problem-solving, effective communication, and building self-confidence2

Integrating Psychological Support: Linking psychological counseling with educational programs to enhance students' academic and behavioral performance3

Emotional Intelligence Development: Organizing interactive activities (such as group games and role-playing) to enhance emotional intelligence and build positive relationships among students4


Pathway Two
Pathway Two: Students with Behavioral Problems or Psychological Disorders
Goal: Provide specialized therapeutic support for students experiencing specific issues.
Methods:

Behavior Modification Strategies: Implementing individual and group programs based on behavioral psychology principles to promote positive behaviors and reduce undesirable ones1

Diagnosis & Intervention: Conducting a thorough assessment of psychological and behavioral issues using scientific tools, and providing individualized intervention and treatment plans based on the evaluation results2

Individual Sessions: Providing individual psychological support sessions for students experiencing psychological disorders (such as anxiety and depression) and regularly monitoring their progress3
Pathway Three
Pathway Three: Teachers & Parents
Goal: Empower teachers and parents to provide psychological support to children and enhance a supportive family and school environment.
Methods:

Training Programs: Offering specialized training programs for teachers and parents on the basics of mental health, how to recognize signs of emotional distress in children, and how to provide initial support1

Teacher Support: Providing psychological support for teachers themselves to help them cope with work-related stress and the psychological challenges they may face2

Teacher Competency Development: Equipping teachers with practical tools and strategies to integrate psychological support into daily classroom practices and foster a positive and supportive learning environment3
