Mental Health for All in Gaza
● What is it? A humanitarian initiative aimed at providing systematic and community-based mental health support services to the residents of the Gaza Strip, given the difficult circumstances they face as a result of ongoing crises, through trained field teams and effective local partnerships
● What does it consist of? Mobile mental health support teams comprising psychologists and social workers; training programs for local staff (teachers, counselors, volunteers); and community support centers in schools and community centers, which serve as fixed locations for providing support
● What do they offer?
o Individual and group mental health support sessions for children and adults to help them cope with the effects of trauma and daily stress.
o Community awareness programs to break the stigma associated with mental health and foster a culture of mental health support
o Capacity-building for mental health and social workers to ensure the sustainability of support within the local community
